Software Engineer (AI/ML) – Logistics Optimization Algorithms

Location: Denver, CO – Relocation Offered. Remote work is not possible for this role.

We have multiple openings available. Here are some examples of projects we currently need help with:

  • Determine novel mechanisms by which to optimize payload delivery

  • Build and iterate on models to predict the demand for commodities at nodes in a logistics network

  • Build and iterate on models to predict the availability of supply of transporters, drivers, and commodities

  • Build and iterate on models to model road congestion, traffic, and wait times based on historical data and future demand predictions

  • Develop models for analysing satellite and drone photography to forecast demand for commodities

Here are some qualifications we look for:

  • 3+ years experience developing machine learning models from inception to business impact. Leadership opportunities also available.

  • Experience building and using cloud solutions

  • Deep understanding of machine learning techniques such as optimization, deep learning, reinforcement learning, recurrent neural networks (RNN) and dynamic bayesian networks (DBN)

  • Great written and verbal communication skills when working with local and remote cross functional team members

  • Fluency in Go, Python, R, or other programming languages

  • Experience working with RESTful APIs

  • Experience working with discrete event simulation techniques is a plus

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field is a plus

  • Experience productionizing machine learning models is a plus
